Mystery Bounty Poker Tournaments

How a Mystery Bounty Works

Part of the prize pool is set aside as bounties of different sizes, announced in advance. The bounties usually come into play only in the late stage, often from the second day or once the field is in the money.

• The draw: for each player you eliminate, you draw an envelope or a card and win the bounty in it.
• Jackpot bounties: a few large bounties make the format exciting; the biggest can be worth more than the title.
• Before the bounty stage: the event plays like a regular tournament.

How to Play a Mystery Bounty

• Reach the bounty stage: nothing is won from knockouts before it, so play the early stage as a normal event.
• Value every knockout: each elimination is a lottery ticket, so calls against short stacks gain value late.
• Keep the cover: you can only win a bounty from a player you cover.
