Taiwan Millions Tournament (TMT)

The Taiwan Millions Tournament (TMT) is a home-grown live poker series from Taiwan, run by the Chinese Texas Hold'em Poker Association (CTP) since 2017. It started as a low buy-in festival for the local market. Within a few years its Main Event fields grew into the thousands, and visiting players from around Asia now join the local crowd.

All TMT festivals take place in Taipei. The usual rhythm is two numbered editions a year, one in January and one in July, plus the TMT Championship in October, which CTP added in 2024. Most editions are held at the CTP Asia Poker Arena, and TMT 18 in 2025 moved to the larger Red Space. A festival runs for about two to four weeks. Recent July editions have offered from about 90 to more than 180 events, built around a multi-flight Main Event.

The series is built for volume. The Main Event costs TWD 9,000 (~US$280), so a first-time player and a seasoned regular can sit in the same tournament. The TMT Championship Main Event is a step up at TWD 35,000. CTP posts schedules and news through the CTP Asia Poker Arena site.

Field sizes have climbed year by year. TMT 16 in July 2024 drew 6,953 Main Event entries, and the TMT 18 Main Event in 2025 reached 8,478 entries and TWD 62.3 million (~US$2.1 million), won by Shih Chen Tai. In 2026 the TMT 20 festival ran 186 events, and its Main Event drew 9,094 entries, the largest TMT field in Asia Poker Hub data since 2024. South Korea's Daeyoung Park won it.
