About the Zodiac Series of Poker
The Zodiac Series of Poker (ZSOP) is a live poker series themed on the Chinese zodiac. It held its first festival in March 2025 at the CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei, Taiwan. Each Main Event takes the name of the animal of the year, so 2025 brought the Zodiac Snake Main Event and 2026 the Zodiac Horse Main Event. Winners of the marquee events receive zodiac trophies.
Taipei is the home of the series, with two or three festivals a year at the arena. Each one runs about eleven days with 40 to 66 events, and the Taipei Main Events have cost TWD 22,000 to TWD 28,000. In June 2026 ZSOP played its first festival outside Taiwan, at LES A Casino in Jeju, South Korea. The official Zodiac Series of Poker site carries the upcoming dates.
Fields have been large for the price. The inaugural ZSOP 2025 Taipei Main Event drew 1,497 entries over eight starting flights, and local player Ting Chieh Chi won the first Zodiac Snake trophy. Six months later, ZSOP The Final Snake 2025 drew 1,506 entries and a TWD 32.4 million (~US$1.1 million) prize pool, the largest and richest ZSOP Main Event in Asia Poker Hub data.
