Turbo Poker Tournaments

How a Turbo Works

The structure is that of a regular tournament, but each level is shorter, so a turbo plays in a few hours instead of a full day. A hyper turbo is faster still.

• Single day: most turbos play down to a winner on the same day, often as an evening side event.
• Stacks: the starting stack is often a little smaller than in the festival's regular events.
• Entries: many allow re-entry while late registration is open.

How to Play a Turbo

• Open more: the blinds and antes grow quickly, so stealing them matters more than in a slow event.
• Short stack play: learn when to go all-in or fold with fifteen big blinds or fewer; it comes up often.
• Watch late registration: entering late saves time but leaves you with fewer big blinds.

Turbo at Live Festivals in Asia

Most festivals in the region run turbo side events, often in the evening or on the last days of the series. The lists on this page come from our festival database and update as organizers publish their schedules and results.
