Where CPG Plays
About the China Poker Games
China Poker Games (CPG) is a live poker tour in mainland China. According to its official site, it has been held every year since 2013 and is organized under the Hainan Poker Association, which oversees poker as a mind sport in Hainan Province. The flagship CPG Championship takes place each August at the Howard Johnson Resort Sanya Bay on Hainan Island.
Around the Championship, CPG runs a calendar of shorter festivals. CPG Tour stops have played at Atlantis Sanya and at the Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel in Zhuhai, close to Macau, which also hosts city satellites. The CPG Masters is held in Sanya in December, and a league series visits the mountain resort town of Chongli. Most festivals last about a week, and players can also qualify online through the CPG app. The official China Poker Games site, in Chinese, carries the schedule.
Fields at the Championship are very large. The CPG Championship Final Sanya 2025 offered 55 events, and its Main Event drew 4,211 entries, the biggest CPG field in Asia Poker Hub data, which covers the tour since 2024.
