U Series Of Poker (USOP)

The U Series of Poker (USOP) is a live poker series that launched in February 2023 with a festival in Taipei, Taiwan. Its slogan, “Unleash Your Inner Champion”, describes the idea: schedules that work for casual players as well as professionals. The first Main Event drew 1,043 entries. Two months later the brand moved on to Vietnam, which has been its main market ever since.

Most USOP festivals take place in Vietnam. Hanoi has hosted the series at Crown Poker Club since April 2023. Da Nang uses the Pullman Danang Beach Resort, and Hai Phong has hosted stops at Dream Dragon Resort and the Pullman Grand Hotel Hai Phong. In 2026 the tour played two festivals in Ha Long at the InterContinental Halong Bay Resort. It also went to Japan in 2025, at the Dojima River Forum in Osaka. Its Osaka events now run under the U Series Championship name.

A USOP festival usually lasts about two weeks, and recent editions listed 60 to nearly 100 events. Vietnamese Main Events have cost VND 30 million to VND 35 million, with High Rollers and smaller side events around them. The official U Series of Poker site lists the next stop and the season awards, including Player of the Year.

The richest USOP Main Event in Asia Poker Hub data came at the USOP Hai Phong Grand Finale 2024 in December 2024. The VND 35 million event beat its VND 40 billion guarantee with a prize pool of VND 58 billion (~US$2.3 million). South Korea's Hun Tae Choi won it. In Osaka, USOP Japan 2025 drew 1,486 Main Event entries at JPY 100,000, and Hong Kong's Horace Wei took the title. Back in Vietnam, the USOP Vietnam Halong Bay 2026 Main Event reached 1,520 entries and went to local player Thi Minh Hong Pham.
