(Jessy)
Data Editor & Reviewer

Gábor "Jessy" Magyari is the data editor of AsiaPokerHub. He reviews the festival and results data before it is published and decides when a festival is ready to be shown.

What He Does at AsiaPokerHub

Jessy checks the festivals, schedules and results that our software collects from the organizers. A festival appears in our calendar when he decides it has enough information, and he checks the names, places and prizes in the results. How this works is described on our How We Work page.

Poker

For two years he was the technical editor of an international poker portal. Working from the information of the organizers, he built the database of tours, festivals and tournament calendars. As a player himself, and with the contacts he made over the years, he knew where to look and whom to ask.

Data

Jessy has worked with computers since the 1990s, first self-taught and later with a degree in the field. He started as a database developer at an advertising agency, and for nearly 25 years he has worked at a financial company, where he took part in building and running its database. Strategy and board games have shaped how he thinks, and he brings the same view of systems to poker data.
