The Field
Day 1 ran over four flights from August 9 to 11. The 1,393 entries were 112 more than in 2025 and produced a prize pool of KRW 3.01 billion (~US$2.15 million), twice the KRW 1.5 billion guarantee. The top 207 places were paid. Japan had the most cashes with 83, followed by China with 38 and Thailand with 24.
The Winner
Before Incheon, Pang had 16 recorded cashes and three titles. His best was about US$16,600 for winning a Progressive Bounty event at MGM Poker Classic 2026. The Main Event paid him almost 18 times that and lifts his live earnings recorded by Asia Poker Hub since 2024 to about US$361,900. His prize was also larger than the KRW 380.5 million that China's Junjie He received for the 2025 title.
