About the Vietnam Poker Tour
The Vietnam Poker Tour (VPT) is a home-grown live poker brand from Vietnam, based on Phu Quoc island. It was announced in September 2024 with the stated goal of building a professional and transparent tournament scene within Vietnamese law. Its first event was a partnership with the Asian Poker Tour for the APT Phu Quoc stop in November 2024. The first standalone VPT Championship followed in April 2025.
Every VPT Championship is held at Corona Casino and Resort, the one casino in the country where Vietnamese citizens may play alongside foreign visitors. Festivals run for 9 to 13 days with roughly 40 to 65 events. The Main Event sits at VND 25 to 28 million (~US$960 to 1,060), and High Roller events reach VND 80 million (~US$3,000). Most players qualify through live satellites in the poker room, and the Vietnam Poker Tour Facebook page carries the schedules.
The VPT Championship II Main Event in late 2025 drew 1,532 entries and VND 27.2 billion (~US$1.0 million), the largest VPT field in Asia Poker Hub data. South Korea's Juyeol Lee won it. In May 2026 the third edition ran together with the Red Dragon Poker Tour.
