Where Triton One Plays
About the Triton One
Triton One is the mid-stakes tour of the Triton Poker Series, the high-stakes brand founded in 2016 by Malaysia's Paul Phua and Richard Yong together with Ivan Leow. Triton announced the new tour in June 2025, released the first schedule in July and played the first edition that September. The idea is to keep the production and service of the Super High Roller events while lowering the buy-ins to a level many more players can reach.
So far Triton One has grown up in South Korea, with a first stop outside Korea set for North Cyprus in November 2026. Both editions to date were held at the casino in Jeju Shinhwa World on Jeju island, known as Landing Casino at the first edition and LES A Casino at the second, each with a compact schedule of 14 to 17 events, followed by a Triton Super High Roller Series in the same casino. The format is short and focused: one to two weeks of No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha events built around a US$8,000 Main Event.
The tour aims at serious recreational players and mid-stakes regulars who want the Triton experience without a six-figure buy-in. There are cheaper routes in: on-site qualifiers cost US$1,500, and the tour's partner QQPK runs low-cost online satellites. The official Triton Poker Series site lists the next stops.
The first Triton One Jeju Main Event in 2025 drew 1,046 entries and a prize pool of US$7.6 million. Germany's Joshua Gebissa, who had qualified through a satellite, won US$975,225, with Thailand's Punnat Punsri in second place. Six months later the second Triton One festival in Jeju grew to 1,230 entries and US$8.9 million, the largest Triton One field so far, and China's Wenjie Zhao took about US$1.16 million.
