About the Won Poker Cup

The Won Poker Cup (WPC) is a live poker series from Sihanoukville, Cambodia, run by the Won Majestic Hotel. It started in July 2024 as a home-grown Cambodian brand, at a time when the port city was known mostly for cash games rather than tournaments. Every edition so far has been played at the hotel, with two festivals in the first year and one a year since.

A WPC festival lasts about a week and is built around a Main Event of a little over US$1,000. The first Main Event in 2024 already offered five Day 1 flights and a US$500,000 guarantee, and later editions raised it to US$600,000. The schedule has grown from a handful of tournaments to 28 events at the fourth edition in April 2026. The Won Poker Cup III Main Event in 2025 drew 415 entries to a US$1,320 buy-in and paid out US$600,000. Azerbaijan's Khayal Abbasov won the title.
