Casino resort in Pyrmont, Sydney, with the Star Poker room on the main gaming floor. It runs daily dealt cash games and several weekly tournaments, and hosts series such as the Sydney Championships.

Star Poker Sydney is on the main gaming floor with a buy-in desk and table service. The Star says it is home to the only professionally dealt cash game in NSW.[1, 2, 4]

Cash Games

Daily professionally dealt cash games at a variety of limits; stakes are posted at the tables, not online. Rake may be a percentage of the pot, a per-hand fee or a time charge, shown on signs in the poker area.[1, 2, 3]

Daily Tournaments

Weekly events: Single Reload Monday 6:15pm ($300), Mid-week Warrior Wednesday 6:15pm ($350), Action Clock Saturday 2:15pm ($400). Registration opens 1 hour before start.[1]

Membership
The Star Club membership (free) required for tournaments; under the NSW poker rules a valid Player Card is required to play from 19 August 2024

Casino entry is 18+, tournament players must be The Star Club members, and the approved poker rules require a Player Card.[1, 3]

How to Get There

The Star is in Pyrmont, next to Darling Harbour; The Star light rail stop on the L1 Dulwich Hill line connects to Central station.[4, 5]
